100% LOCAL, PASTURE RAISED MEAT CHICKENS

Pastured chickens are constantly outdoors after they reach two weeks of age. From May-November, we raise healthy, humanely processed chickens on our farm. The chickens are directly on grass, pecking on the weeds and eating worms and bugs. They are enclosed in a large “pasture shelter” which keeps predators like foxes and raccoons from coming in and attacking the chickens. The water bucket is filled daily, and they are supplemented with non-GMO (not genetically modified) feed. Once or twice every day they are moved to fresh pasture. This rotational grazing enables the chickens to fertilize the soil with their manure and to eat the grass and bugs before moving on to fresh pasture.  We are able to slaughter the chickens right on the farm, which ensures they are not exposed to any chemicals before they’re frozen and that they are humanly processed.

OUR VEGETABLES

With over 60 years of gardening experience you can expect quality, nutrient dense vegetables produced right on our farm. We do not spray our crops and we use crop rotation which diversifies the soil nutrients, making a rich and highly fertile blend of soil for our produce. Look for lettuce, potatoes, beans, tomatoes, corn, squash, radishes, and carrots.
